Setting Up a Wellness Corner for a Seminar or Conference in Marrakech: What to Rent

25 September 2026

To set up a wellness corner for a corporate event in Marrakech, start with a Zero Gravity massage chair (1,500 MAD per day), add the RW900 smart rowing machine (1,800 MAD per day) for attendees who would rather move, and an audio guest book (4,200 MAD per day, with a dedicated host) to collect their feedback. Keep the 6-seat inflatable hot tub (1,200 MAD per day) for an evening in a garden or on an outdoor concrete area.

Rent All delivers, installs and collects every item in Marrakech. This guide covers each piece of equipment: the space it needs, where to put it in your venue, how to rotate attendees, and four packages priced from our product pages.

Key takeaways

  • The Zero Gravity massage chair (1,500 MAD/day, refundable deposit of 3,600 MAD) is the centrepiece of a conference wellness corner.
  • The connected rower (1,800 MAD/day, deposit 1,800 MAD) needs at least 3 to 4 m² of clear space and about 2 m of ceiling height.
  • The audio and video guest book (4,200 MAD/day) requires no deposit: a dedicated Rent All host runs the device and welcomes guests.
  • The 6-seat hot tub (1,200 MAD/day) needs at least 6 m² and is not suitable for balconies or wooden structures: keep it for the evening.
  • Work out how many chairs you need from your break times and the session length you choose; availability is confirmed with your quote.

Why a seminar or conference needs a wellness corner

Between two talks, most attendees stand by the coffee table, phone in hand, catching up on email. The break is on the programme, but nobody really stops. A wellness corner gives attendees a real reason to switch off for a few minutes, in a clearly marked spot, without leaving the venue.

The overall planning of the event (formats, venues, daily programme) is covered in our guide to organising a corporate seminar in Marrakech, and team activities are in our complete guide to team building in Marrakech. This article focuses only on the relaxation area itself: what to rent, where to put it, how many units you need and what it costs.

At a seminar or conference, a wellness corner usually does three jobs:

  • rest between sessions: that is the massage chair;
  • move a little, alone or as a challenge: that is the connected rower;
  • leave a trace of the event: that is the audio guest book, which records what attendees took away while they are still on site.

The inflatable hot tub serves a fourth purpose, evening relaxation, and belongs in a different space.

The Zero Gravity massage chair: the heart of the relaxation area

The Zero Gravity massage chair rents for 1,500 MAD per day, with a refundable deposit of 3,600 MAD. Its product page lists corporate events, trade shows, team building and wellness areas among its ideal uses, which is exactly what a conference break is.

What the chair does, according to its product page

The features that matter for a conference audience:

  • Zero Gravity technology: the chair reclines the body into a position that gives a feeling of weightlessness;
  • L-Shape and Body Scan: the system reads the user’s body shape and adjusts the massage path along the spine;
  • built-in heating;
  • a leg rest that extends by up to 32 cm to fit different heights;
  • arm massage through cushions built into the armrests, targeting shoulders and forearms;
  • Bluetooth and built-in speakers for relaxing music or an ambient soundtrack.

Body Scan and the adjustable leg rest matter a lot at a conference: attendees come in all sizes and nobody has time to set a machine up by hand. The chair adjusts itself for every user.

Footprint: the dimensions to put on your floor plan

The product page gives three measurements: seat 1,510 × 790 × 1,030 mm, armrests 1,245 × 410 × 655 mm and leg rest 530 × 445 × 540 mm. The seat is the one to remember: roughly 1.5 m long and 0.8 m wide. Leave room around it to sit down and get up comfortably, and remember that the leg rest extends.

Rent All handles transport, assembly and dismantling, so you have nothing to carry. Just make sure there is a power socket nearby, as you would for any motorised, heated appliance.

Sound: a plus that needs a rule

The built-in speakers let each user connect a phone for a playlist or a guided meditation. In a shared area, or one close to a conference room, set a simple rule: low volume, or headphones if the space is small.

The RW900 smart rower: for attendees who would rather move

Not everyone wants to lie back during a break. The RW900 smart rowing machine (a NordicTrack connected rower) rents for 1,800 MAD per day, with a refundable deposit of 1,800 MAD. Its page recommends it for corporate events, hotels, team building and wellness areas.

The features that count in a conference venue

  • 24-inch rotating HD touchscreen, which can also be used for off-rower exercise (strength, stretching, cardio);
  • silent magnetic resistance with 26 levels: the page describes smooth movement with no noise nuisance;
  • SmartAdjust: resistance adapts automatically to the user’s level;
  • long rail, ergonomic seat, wide adjustable pedals with straps;
  • speakers, Wi-Fi and Bluetooth, and compatibility with the iFIT platform (live or on-demand workouts).

Silence is what makes it work at a seminar: a noisy machine cannot sit next to a meeting room. The silent magnetic resistance means an active zone can live right beside the quiet one. If you plan to use iFIT programmes, raise it when you request your quote and ask the venue for Wi-Fi access.

Space needed: 3 to 4 m² and 2 m of ceiling height

The product page recommends at least 3 to 4 m² of clear space around the machine and a ceiling height of about 2 m minimum. The Rent All team checks the set-up during installation. In a hotel, that rules out nooks under stairs or low mezzanines, so check the height before you book the spot.

Turning the rower into a break-time challenge

A rower on its own draws the sporty crowd. Turned into a small challenge, it draws everyone. Pick a short, identical test for all, write the results on a board next to the machine and announce the ranking at the final plenary or at dinner. Since resistance adapts automatically to each user’s level (SmartAdjust), present it as a friendly game rather than a sports contest: the aim is for everyone to have a go.

For a more energetic challenge, the punching bag with freestanding stand (1,200 MAD per day, 900 MAD deposit) is another option. It sets up without drilling on a flat floor, indoors only, stands about 2.30 m tall and takes up about 1.40 × 1.40 m of floor. It is louder than a rower, so place it well away from meeting rooms.

The audio guest book: capturing attendee feedback

A relaxation area is also a good place to ask people what they thought of the event. The audio and video guest book rents for 4,200 MAD per day with no deposit: a dedicated Rent All host runs the device and welcomes your guests.

How it works, according to the product page: an HD tablet set up for your event plays a personalised welcome message, in audio or video, and each attendee then records a message in a few seconds. There is no limit on the number of messages. After the event, Rent All hands over all audio and video files in digital format, fully edited (sound clean-up, simple editing).

How to use it at a seminar

The personalised welcome message is what makes the difference. Instead of a generic “leave a message”, ask a specific question: “What will you put into practice on Monday?”, “Which moment of these two days will you remember?” or, at a conference, “What topic would you like to see next year?”. The recordings then become useful material for internal communication or for your event debrief.

Placed near the chairs, the booth catches attendees when they are relaxed and have a moment. Since a host is on site, you do not need someone from your own team to explain it. The page also says the guest book can be used outdoors if conditions allow, with advice from the team depending on your venue.

The inflatable hot tub: for the evening, not the conference hall

The 6-seat Intex inflatable hot tub rents for 1,200 MAD per day, with a refundable deposit of 2,100 MAD, and holds up to 6 people. It is not break-time equipment: nobody walks out of a plenary and into a hot tub. For a seminar, we suggest keeping it for the evening programme, ideally in a garden or on an outdoor concrete area, when the group is winding down.

Installation conditions from the product page

  • minimum area of 6 m²;
  • suitable locations listed: living room, veranda, garden, outdoor concrete area;
  • compatible floors: tiles, lino, concrete, parquet, lawn;
  • not suitable for balconies or wooden structures, for safety and stability reasons;
  • installation takes about 1 to 2 hours depending on water flow, removal 1 hour maximum;
  • delivered with everything it needs to run.

Since filling time depends on water flow, ask the venue where the nearest water supply is and schedule the set-up several hours before the evening. For a seminar, choose a garden or an outdoor concrete area, and rule out wooden decks and balconies from the start. Tell attendees in advance so they pack swimwear; without that notice, few of them will be able to use it.

Where to put the wellness corner in your venue

Location matters as much as equipment. A chair hidden at the end of a corridor stays empty; one in the middle of the coffee area is never quiet. Check these points with the venue:

  • on the break route, next to or just beyond the coffee area, so everyone sees it;
  • away from meeting-room doors, especially because of the speakers;
  • power sockets for the chair, the rower and the guest book;
  • ceiling height of about 2 m minimum if you take the rower;
  • delivery access: the Rent All team carries and installs, but there must be a way through to the spot.

At a conference with exhibitors, the wellness corner can become a proper zone on the floor plan, with signage and, if a partner wants it, their logo. To choose the venue itself, see our selection of the most beautiful event venues in Marrakech.

Splitting the area into two zones

If you rent several items, separate a quiet zone (chairs, guest book) from an active zone (rower, possibly the punching bag). As the rower is silent, the two zones can sit side by side. The punching bag should go further away.

How many massage chairs for your number of attendees

The product page gives neither a chair-to-attendee ratio nor a session length. The right approach is to start from your own programme. You need three figures that only you know:

  • opening time of the area across the day (total break and lunch time);
  • session length you decide to give each attendee;
  • share of attendees you want to be able to welcome.

The maths: one chair serves as many people as the opening time divided by the session length. A purely illustrative example: if your area is open for 2 hours in total during the day and you set 10-minute sessions, one chair allows 12 sessions. To offer a session to 36 people under those assumptions, you would need three chairs, or a conference running over several days.

Replace these assumptions with your own. If the result exceeds what your budget or space allows, you have three levers: shorter sessions, longer opening hours (over lunch, for instance) or booking by sign-up. Availability of several chairs for your dates is confirmed when you request your quote.

Managing attendee rotation

Without rules, the first arrivals keep the chair and everyone else gives up. A few simple measures prevent that:

  • bookable time slots, via a sheet at reception or a form sent out with the programme;
  • a posted session length next to the chair, backed by a visible timer;
  • a point person from your team to keep things moving and restart the machines: the chair and rower pages do not mention an on-site host, unlike the guest book;
  • an announcement in plenary so everyone knows the area exists and how to use it.

With the rower challenge, rotation happens naturally: each person does a short test and makes way. For the guest book, the Rent All host is on site to welcome attendees.

Budget: four packages calculated from our product prices

The figures below are the daily rates and deposits shown on our product pages. Deposits are refundable; the guest book requires none. Your final quote confirms the amounts for your dates.

Based on the displayed daily rate, a three-day conference with one chair comes to 4,500 MAD; your quote gives the exact figure for a multi-day rental. A second chair adds 1,500 MAD per day and a 3,600 MAD deposit, subject to availability. To compare with other activities, see our page on event equipment rental prices in Morocco.

One tip: if the hot tub is only used for one evening, there is no need to rent it for the whole seminar. State which days you need each item in your request.

What to know before you rent

Advantages

  • delivery, installation and collection in Marrakech for every item: no logistics on your side;
  • a chair that adapts to each body shape on its own (Body Scan, leg rest extending up to 32 cm);
  • a silent rower that fits in a meeting venue;
  • a guest book with no deposit, a dedicated host and edited files delivered after the event.

Limitations

  • the chair takes up about 1.5 m by 0.8 m and needs a power socket;
  • the rower needs 3 to 4 m² of clear space and about 2 m of ceiling height;
  • the punching bag is indoor-only and noisy;
  • the hot tub needs 6 m², a water supply and 1 to 2 hours to install, and cannot go on a balcony or a wooden structure;
  • delivery, installation and collection as described on the product pages apply to Marrakech, which is the scope of this guide.

Next step: request your quote

To prepare your request, gather the number of attendees, the dates, the venue, the break times and the spot you have in mind (with the ceiling height if you want the rower). Send them through our Rent All contact form: an adviser will get back to you within 24 hours to check availability and price your wellness corner.
