How Much Does a Wedding in Marrakech Cost? The Budget Line by Line, All-Inclusive Packages and Ways to Save
The cost of a wedding in Marrakech has no single figure: it adds up line by line, and the venue and the caterer outweigh everything else, because both grow with the guest list. Published benchmarks put riad or estate hire at around €2,000 to €8,000 and catering at around €60 to €150 per guest; the entertainment line, on the other hand, can be priced exactly: 1,200 to 4,900 MAD per day per attraction at Rent All, with delivery, setup and collection included in Marrakech.
This guide goes through each budget line, what pushes the bill up or down, what an all-inclusive package really covers, and the savings your guests will never notice. Outside figures are quoted with their source and date; Rent All prices come from our product pages.
Key takeaways
- Guest numbers are the biggest lever: they drive catering, drinks, tableware, seating and often accommodation all at once.
- Published benchmarks to check against real quotes: riad or estate hire around €2,000 to €8,000, catering around €60 to €150 per guest (an online wedding venue guide, undated page viewed on 22 October 2026).
- An all-inclusive wedding has no standard definition: ask for a written list of every item included and every item left out.
- Rent All entertainment: 1,200 to 4,900 MAD per day, the same prices all year round; in Marrakech, delivery, setup and collection are included.
- For a quote, send the date, the venue in Marrakech, the number of guests and the attractions you want.

How is a Marrakech wedding budget put together?
A wedding budget is a sum of lines that do not all behave the same way. Some grow with every guest: food, drinks, tableware, chairs, sometimes rooms. Others are fixed or close to it: the venue for a given date, the photographer, the band. The rest depend mostly on taste: decoration, outfits, entertainment.
This split changes how you negotiate. Cutting twenty guests trims every variable line at once; switching photographer changes only one. Before comparing quotes, sort each item into one of three families: variable, fixed or style.
The table below sums up the main lines of a Marrakech wedding, what makes their price move, and the public benchmark we could find. Where no reliable, dated source exists, we give no figure: a quote is worth more than an invented number.
| Budget line | What drives the price | Public benchmark (sources at the end) |
|---|---|---|
| Venue (riad, villa, estate, hotel) | Capacity, exclusive use, minimum nights, date | Riad or estate: about €2,000 to €8,000 (online venue guide, undated) |
| Catering | Guest count, menu, service, drinks, staff | About €60 to €150 per guest (same guide); tables of 10 from 3,000 MAD for a “decent” service (Hespress, August 2019) |
| Decoration and furniture | Venue’s existing decor, flowers, lighting, furniture | No reliable benchmark |
| Music | Line-up, fame, duration, sound system | Band 5,000 to 7,000 MAD; well-known musicians 30,000 to 50,000 MAD (Hespress, August 2019) |
| Negafa and outfits | Number of outfits, jewellery, reputation | Around 30,000 MAD for a negafa (Hespress, August 2019) |
| Photo and video | Hours on site, number of shooters, deliverables | No reliable benchmark |
| Entertainment | Number of attractions, rental days | Rent All prices: 1,200 to 4,900 MAD per day |
| Guest accommodation and transport | Nights, who pays, shuttles | No reliable benchmark |
| Planning | Full planning or on-the-day coordination | No reliable benchmark |
The venue: what the headline price really covers
The venue sets the frame for everything else: capacity, style, and the list of things you will have to bring in. In Marrakech, couples usually choose between a riad, a villa, an estate or a hotel. Our article Marrakech wedding: villa or riad? compares the first two in detail, capacity and constraints included.
As a rough guide, an online wedding venue guide for Morocco (undated page, viewed on 22 October 2026) says riad or estate hire commonly ranges from about €2,000 to €8,000, and that fully serviced estates or private desert camps go higher once styling and transport are added.
A venue’s headline price rarely tells the whole story. Ask these questions before comparing two offers:
- Is the venue fully private, or shared with other guests?
- Is there a minimum number of nights, and are the rooms included?
- Is the caterer imposed, or can you choose? Are there kitchen or corkage fees?
- Are electricity, cleaning, security and restoration included?
- Does the rate change with the day of the week or the season?
- What time does the music have to stop?
Catering: the line that follows your guest list
Catering is almost always the largest line in the budget, because it is priced per guest or per table. The bill depends on the menu, the format (plated dinner, buffet or standing reception), drinks, the number of waiting staff and how long they stay.
Two public benchmarks, to be read in context. The online venue guide mentioned above puts catering at around €60 to €150 per guest for a wedding in Morocco. An article published by Hespress on 18 August 2019 on the cost of weddings in Morocco quoted tables of 10 from 3,000 dirhams for a “decent” service, and 10,000-dirham tables for a high-end service in Casablanca. These figures are several years old: they give an order of magnitude, not a price.
In a catering quote, check what is actually counted: tableware and linen, furniture, service staff, drinks, the cake, tea and pastries, and meals for the suppliers working all evening. Two quotes with the same price per guest can cover very different services.
Decoration and furniture: start from what the venue already has
Decoration is the most elastic line: almost anything is possible, and almost everything costs money. The main lever is still your choice of venue. A riad with zellige tiles and carved wood needs little dressing; a modern villa or a bare garden means bringing everything in, from tables to the last candle holder.
Furniture, mood lighting, flowers and table linen make up most of this line. Ask your venue and caterer what they already provide: couples sometimes pay twice for the same chairs. Rent All does not rent furniture or decoration; for styling ideas suited to Morocco, see our wedding decoration ideas.
Music: band, traditional group or DJ
The music budget depends on the line-up, how well known the performers are and how long they play. One wedding can combine several moods: a traditional group for the couple’s entrance, a band during dinner, a DJ to close the night. Each has its own fee, and the sound system may be included or charged separately.
The Hespress article of 18 August 2019 gave these benchmarks for Morocco: a good band for 5,000 to 7,000 dirhams, well-known musicians for 30,000 to 50,000 dirhams. We found no reliable, recent public source for DJs.
Before signing, get the start and finish times in writing, the price of an extra hour and who supplies the sound system. Paying for music until dawn makes no sense if the venue requires it to stop earlier.
Negafa and outfits: a line specific to Moroccan weddings
At a Moroccan wedding, the negafa looks after the bride, prepares her outfits and paces the changes and entrances. Her fee depends on the number of outfits, the jewellery provided and her reputation. The Hespress article quoted above put the services of a skilled negafa at around 30,000 dirhams in 2019.
The couple’s outfits, hair and make-up are added to this line. For a Western-style wedding, it often comes down to the dress and the suit, and weighs less in the overall budget.
Photo and video: paying for hours and deliverables
A photographer or videographer charges mainly for time on site (from the preparations to the party, or just the ceremony) and for deliverables: number of edited photos, short or long film, printed album. Two shooters cost more than one, but can cover two places at once.
We found no reliable public price range for Marrakech, so compare quotes like for like: hours, number of shooters, delivery time. A photo attraction rented for your guests does not replace the photographer; it adds the pictures your guests take themselves, and a keepsake they take home.
Entertainment: the line you can price to the dirham
This is the line we know, and the only one in this article where we give exact prices: they are our own rates. Rent All rents attractions by the day, delivered, set up and collected by its team. Prices are in dirhams, all applicable taxes included, and the same all year round. Marrakech is our base: delivery, setup and collection are included in the daily rate there.

Each product page gives the details: the 360° photo booth, the magic mirror photo booth, the Audio & Video Guest Book, the Heart Audio & Video Guest Book, the René Pierre foosball table, the arcade machine, the professional pinball machine, the Zero Gravity massage chair and the 6-seat inflatable hot tub. All prices are also gathered on our rental prices page.
Three entertainment budgets for a wedding
Each total below adds up the daily rates from the previous table; none is a fixed package. Change an attraction, redo the sum. Deposits come on top and are returned to you.
| Option | Attractions | Total / day | Refundable deposits |
|---|---|---|---|
| Small budget | 360° photo booth + foosball table | 3,100 MAD | 2,300 MAD |
| Keepsakes | Magic mirror photo booth + Audio & Video Guest Book | 9,100 MAD | None |
| Big party | Magic mirror + Heart Guest Book + foosball + arcade machine + massage chair | 13,300 MAD | 10,700 MAD |
The “Small budget” option covers the two basics of an evening: something for photos and a game guests gather around. “Keepsakes” focuses on what remains after the party: printed photos for every guest and audio and video messages you will play again. “Big party” adds two games for guests who prefer to stay away from the dance floor, and a massage chair for a break between dances.

Pricing your entertainment: what to send us

Guest accommodation and transport: who pays for what?
For a destination wedding, guest accommodation can become a big line, or disappear from the couple’s budget if everyone pays for their own room. Decide the rule early and state it clearly in the invitation: it is one of the first questions your guests will ask.
The type of venue makes a difference. A villa or riad rented with bedrooms houses some guests on site; a hotel may offer a group rate; otherwise, everyone books separately. Shuttles between accommodation, the reception venue and the airport come on top, especially if the reception is far from the centre.
We found no reliable public benchmark for this line in Marrakech. The safest approach is to ask accommodation near your venue for quotes on your exact dates.
Planning: full-service planner or on-the-day coordination
A planner can support you from choosing the venue until the last guest leaves, or simply coordinate suppliers on the day. Fees depend on that scope. Ask whether they are flat or a percentage of the budget, what their presence on the day includes, and whether they take a commission from the suppliers they recommend.
For the main stages and the planning timeline, our guide to organising a wedding in Marrakech walks through each step month by month.
All-inclusive weddings in Marrakech: what is included and what is not
All-inclusive packages are reassuring: one contact, one price. But the term has no standard definition, and each supplier puts in what it likes. The only way to compare two packages is to get a written list of every item included and every item left out. Here are the questions to ask:
- Is the venue private, for how many hours, and are rooms included?
- Is the menu fixed or flexible? Are drinks, the cake and supplier meals included?
- Does the decoration include flowers, lighting and furniture, or only a base?
- Until what time is music provided, and with what sound system?
- Are the photographer and videographer included, and for how many hours?
- Which attractions are included, and which are optional extras?
- Are taxes, service and supplier travel included in the quoted price?
- Until what date can the guest count change, and at what cost?
At Rent All, each attraction has a clear daily price, which in Marrakech includes delivery, setup and collection. For the magic mirror photo booth, the product page states that the 4,900 MAD covers the day’s rental, transport, setup, dismantling, unlimited prints, props and a hostess. If your wedding package has no entertainment, or only a vague option, you can add this line separately at a price known in advance.
A cheap wedding in Marrakech: where to save without it showing
A cheaper wedding is not a less successful one. The most effective savings target the variable lines and the choices made before signing:
- Shorten the guest list. It is the lever that affects the most lines at once: food, drinks, tableware, seating, accommodation.
- Pick a venue that already has character. An ornate riad or a garden in bloom needs less dressing than a bare space.
- Ask about dates. Check with every supplier whether the price changes with the day or the season. At Rent All, daily rates are the same all year round.
- Compare like for like. A lower quote that leaves out tableware or service is not cheaper.
- Group your attractions. The attractions you choose arrive together and are set up in one go; the quote is the sum of their daily rates.
- Place one attraction per moment. One well-placed attraction does more than three set up in the same corner.
One published example shows that a small wedding is still possible in Marrakech. On 11 May 2024, Hespress English, drawing on an account first published by Business Insider, described a couple’s wedding in a riad: 28 guests at the reception, roughly £1,200 for the venue, £400 for decoration, £1,500 for the meal, and £4,000 in total. It is a single case, not an average, but it shows the effect of a short guest list.
Good to know before booking your entertainment
Price is not everything: payment and cancellation terms also weigh on a wedding budget. Note them down for each supplier, with their deadlines. For Rent All, this is what our rental terms and product pages say:
- Payment: by bank transfer, before the rental date.
- Cancellation: free up to 48 hours before the rental; after that, 30% of the total amount is charged.
- Deposit: the 360° photo booth, the magic mirror and both guest books are rented with no deposit, with a Rent All agent or hostess on site; the other attractions require a refundable deposit, shown on each product page.
- Location: in Marrakech, delivery, setup and collection are included; we work mainly in the Marrakech-Safi region, including the Palmeraie and Hivernage. For another city, travel is priced in the quote according to distance and the amount of equipment.
- Duration: prices are per day; for a two-day wedding, give the real duration, setup and dismantling included.
